Participants will learn to use different methods for purposeful discussion management, which will ensure employees to share their ideas for business development and offer solutions for current issues.

What is the training “Facilitation in Team Management” about?

Facilitation is a method for structured discussion of work issues and purposeful decision-making. The goal of facilitation is to find the most appropriate method for a particular team to constructively generate new ideas and implement them.

A facilitator is a neutral person who helps the employees to identify problems and leads the team to decision-making. The facilitator supports the discussion through various brainstorming tools, ensures that all participants participate in the conversation, but does not engage in a discussion himself.

The training provides answers to the following questions:

  • how is facilitation different from ordinary discussion or brainstorm?
  • what are the types of facilitation sessions?
  • how may facilitation skills be useful for team managers?
  • in which situations facilitation is not the most appropriate way to work in a team?
  • what are the facilitator’s tasks before, after and during the session?

Participants learn several facilitation tools, such as MeWeUs, emotion cards, WorldCafe, and other.

The training consists of 4 sessions, 2 hours each. During the last session, the participants create a plan for the facilitation session, conduct it and evaluate its results with the trainer and the other participants.
